Daily devotion – Worship in Heaven.

Pastor Keith   -

The first real winter storm hit us on the weekend. But no matter — it was wonderful to see folk gathering together in fellowship on Sunday to worship our Lord.

When true followers of Christ set aside time to worship the Lord, I am always reminded of the scene in Revelation 5:8–14 — that great worship gathering of all the redeemed in Heaven before the throne of God.

John describes an incredible scene where countless believers, angels, and every creature in the universe join together in praise to worship the Redeemer — our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 5:12
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

In this heavenly hymn, those worshipping declare the things that Jesus Christ deserves to receive because of His sacrificial death upon Calvary’s Cross.

When Jesus walked this earth, many did not recognise Him for who He truly was. He humbled Himself, laying aside His glory, taking the form of a servant, rejected and despised by men.

Philippians 2:8–11
“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The worship service in Revelation reaches its climax as all creation praises the Lamb of God and the Father seated upon the throne.

Revelation 5:13
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

What an incredible gathering that will be — beyond anything this world has ever seen. No sorrow, no sin, no darkness, no division — only the joy of worshipping Christ forever.

Will you be part of this amazing worship service? Is Christ your Redeemer?

If not, why not receive Him right now?

Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

Jesus Christ still calls people to Himself today. Open your heart to Him, trust in Him, and you too will one day stand among that great multitude worshipping before His throne forever.
