Sunday 14th June 2026
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today!
This morning we have the joy and blessing of a Baby Dedication. Please continue to pray for the family as they seek to raise their child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Calvary Women – Ladies, this is your last opportunity to sign up for the Calvary Ladies Gathering on Thursday, 18th June, from 7:00–8:30pm. The sign-up sheet is available on the information desk. Be sure to invite a friend along for what promises to be a wonderful evening of fellowship, encouragement, and time in God’s Word.
This week, avail yourself of the opportunities here at CCSH to grow in your walk with Christ through the study of God’s Word. Join us for our Sunday evening service or our Wednesday night Bible study as we gather to worship our Lord and learn from His Word together.
You can also be an active part of CCSH’s prayer team by joining us for prayer before our Sunday morning service or at our Wednesday evening prayer gathering. Prayer is the power of Christ’s Church in action!
There are also many opportunities to serve here at Calvary. With the school holidays approaching, students and families may have additional time available to volunteer throughout the week. There are many large and small tasks that help bless and strengthen the fellowship. If you would like to serve during the school break, please speak with one of the pastors for more information about joining the School Holiday Servant Team.
On the final Friday night of Calvary Youth before the school holidays, the youth group will be hosting a special Film Night here at the chapel. Parents, this is a wonderful opportunity to come alongside our youth leaders and assist on the evening. Please see Noah Carmody if you would like to help and be a blessing to our young people.
If you need prayer today, or if you would like to know how you can become a follower of Jesus Christ, our pastors will be available at the front of the sanctuary immediately following each service.

From the Pastor’s Pen
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” — 1 Peter 2:9
Do you have friends, neighbours, work colleagues, or acquaintances who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour? If so, may I encourage you this week to lovingly challenge them to read one of the Gospels and discover for themselves who Jesus really is.
Unbelievers often have no hesitation in encouraging us to read a book, watch a documentary, follow a social cause, or become involved in something they are passionate about. Why should we be hesitant to encourage them to examine the claims of Christ for themselves? The Gospel of John is often a wonderful place to begin. God’s Word is living and powerful, and the Lord can use even a simple invitation to begin breaking down barriers and drawing a person to Himself.
At the same time, pray for those who are without Christ. While we cannot change a person’s heart or mind, God certainly can. Ask the Lord to open their eyes to their need for a Saviour. Pray that He would soften their hearts, remove their objections, and reveal Himself to them through His Word and through the witness of believers.
Also, be sure to live consistently before them. Sometimes the smallest actions can have the greatest impact. Praying before a meal, speaking with kindness, showing integrity, demonstrating forgiveness, or expressing gratitude to God can cause an unbeliever to stop and think. Such simple acts reveal that your relationship with God is real and personal.
Let your friends know that you genuinely care about them. Let them experience the love of Christ through your actions and attitudes. Allow them to see the joy, peace, and hope that Christ has brought into your life. While words are important, the way we live often gives credibility to the message we proclaim.
Peter reminds us that we have been called out of darkness into God’s marvellous light. We are now His people, chosen to declare His praises to a world that desperately needs Him. May we never hide that light, but instead allow it to shine brightly before others, pointing them to Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, thank You for saving us and bringing us out of darkness into Your marvellous light. Give us courage to share Christ with those around us. Open doors for conversations about the Gospel and soften the hearts of those who do not yet know You. Help us to be faithful in prayer, consistent in our witness, and loving in our actions. May others see Jesus in us and be drawn to Him. In His precious name we pray, Amen.
Helen’s heart
Psa 25:1 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. When we say,”Thy kingdom come” we invite the Messiah to walk in our world – our heart, workplace, marriage and family. We invite Him to be a part of our being, our doubts, fears, innermost thoughts – in every part of our lives. O.Allesby states, “prayer is something deeper than words. It is present in the soul before it has been formulated in words. And it abides in the soul after the last words of prayer have passed our lips.” We lift our soul to Him and prevail on Him to bring His presence in every situation.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji
Pastor Charles and his wife Tina would like to once again thank our church family for your faithful prayers, especially for their daughter Elizabeth. Please continue to keep both Elizabeth and Tina in your prayers during this season.
Pastor Charles and Tina are currently submitting the legal documents required for the adoption of their two boys to proceed through the courts. This process has taken considerable time and has involved challenges relating to the boys’ biological parents, as well as the extensive paperwork required. Please pray that the Lord would grant favour, wisdom, and a smooth path through the legal process.
Over recent months, Pastor Charles has been travelling extensively throughout the islands, preaching and ministering to many communities. He has also been called upon to conduct a number of funerals and minister to families facing tragedy and loss. Please pray for strength, wisdom, and encouragement as he continues to serve faithfully.
At the same time, Pastor Charles has been sharing the teaching responsibilities at the church with two young men he is discipling and training for ministry, Albert and Aquila. We praise God that Ps Charles has been asked to teach the Gospel in several local schools through to the end of June. Please pray that many young hearts would be open to receive God’s Word and that lasting fruit would come from this ministry opportunity.
Pastor Charles also asks for prayer for their upcoming Church Camp, which is scheduled for August 21–24. Please pray that the Lord would prepare hearts, provide for every need, protect all those attending, and use the camp to strengthen believers in their faith and draw others to Christ.
Thank you for continuing to uphold Pastor Charles, Tina, their family, and their ministry in prayer.
