Sunday 21st June 2026
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today!
Calvary Ladies Gathering What a blessing it was for the Calvary Ladies who attended Thursday night’s gathering. The CCSH Women’s Ministry plays a vital and powerful role in the work of the Lord here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. We pray the Lord’s richest blessings upon all those who served so faithfully and worked diligently in preparing and hosting the evening.
Israel Tour 2027 We continue to keep a watchful eye on the situation in Israel and have recently received an encouraging report from our tour operator based there. He has informed us that tours are currently operating and major airlines have resumed flights into Tel Aviv. Our intention remains to be there in January 2027, which is now only seven months away. If you have planned to join us on this tour, we encourage you to remain positive and prayerful as we look forward to once again walking in the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land.
Prayer After Services Each Sunday following our services, the pastors and elders are available at the front of the sanctuary to pray with you and for you regarding any needs or concerns you may have. Please don’t hesitate to come forward and allow us the privilege of praying with you.
School Holiday Serving Opportunities As the school holidays approach, we would like to remind those who may be available during the break that there are opportunities to serve here at the chapel. If you would like to help, please speak with any of the pastors and leave your details.
Building Extension Update Our building extension plans continue to move forward steadily. We are drawing closer to receiving the building permit, after which the tender process for construction will commence. Thank you for your continued prayers as we seek the Lord’s guidance and provision for this exciting project.
Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth This Friday will be the final Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth gathering before the school holiday break. Calvary Youth Movie Night Calvary Youth will be holding a special Movie Night this Friday. Parents, this is a wonderful opportunity to assist on the evening by helping with security and simply being present as the young people enjoy their time together. If you can lend a hand and be a blessing, please see Noah Carmody and let him know of your willingness to help.

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in “Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the world.” Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

From the Pastor’s Pen
In many family homes there is a doorway, wall, or special place where a ruler has marked the growth of the children over the years. Names, dates, and little pencil marks record each new milestone. Every time the children stand against that ruler, they eagerly anticipate seeing another centimetre or two added to their height. They never expect to discover that they have shrunk!
As we move through June 2026, perhaps it is a good time to take out a different kind of ruler and measure our spiritual growth. How would you assess your walk with the Lord today compared to this time last year? Are the same old habits still controlling areas of your life, or have you experienced victory through Christ? What about your spiritual diet? Are you spending more time in God’s Word or less? Is your hunger for Scripture growing or fading? How about your prayer life? Are you faithfully bringing your walk with God, your marriage, your children, and your daily concerns before the Lord? Is prayer an important part of your life, or has it become neglected? Perhaps for some, prayer has become almost non-existent. What about the gifts God has given you to serve His people? Are those gifts actively being used to bless the body of Christ, or have they been placed in a drawer somewhere, forgotten and unused? The Lord never intended His gifts to remain idle. He has equipped each believer for service and ministry. Children look forward to measuring their growth because they expect progress. As Christians, we should desire the same. We should long to see evidence that God is continuing His work within us, making us more like Jesus Christ. Today, it may be time to get the ruler out and honestly see where we are at. This measurement is not about height, knowledge, or accomplishments. Ultimately, it is about love—our love for God and our love for others.
“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments.” (1 John 5:2)
One of the greatest indicators of spiritual growth is a growing love for God that results in joyful obedience to His Word, and a growing love for His people. May the Lord help us to continue growing in both. Lord, help me to honestly examine my spiritual life today. Show me areas where I have become stagnant and renew my desire to grow in Your grace. Increase my love for You, deepen my commitment to Your Word, strengthen my prayer life, and help me to faithfully use the gifts You have given me for Your glory and the blessing of others. Amen.

Or this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life – Matthew 6:25
Many concerns consume our lives and these can rob us of all God has given us. Singles – worry about meeting their future mate. Young married – worry about starting a family. Parents – worry about their kids walk with the Lord. Empty nesters – worry about their future. Aged – worry about their declining health and their dependence on others. Matthew 6:33 Says to seek Him and all these things wll be taken care of.

“Hope itself is like a star- not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity.”
― Charles Haddon Spurgeon
