Daily devotion – There is a breakthrough coming!
Hope – Hebrews 7:25 “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
There are times—often more frequent than we would like—when we come to a point in life where we cannot see much sunshine ahead. Instead, all we can see are dark clouds and gloomy days. Perhaps, even as you read this devotion, that is where you find yourself today.
Whatever the situation, whatever the reason, let me assure you that the God of the Bible cares deeply for you. Because of Him, your future does not have to be defined by your present circumstances.
Committing our lives to Christ, or renewing our devotion to Him, does not mean that all our problems will suddenly disappear. We cannot undo our past, and when we have made unwise decisions, we often have to live with some of the scars and consequences they bring.
But know this: God loves you. Even when everything seems dark and there appears to be no way forward, the truth of His love stands forever on the horizon, silhouetted by the empty Cross where our Saviour demonstrated that His love for you is eternal.
Never forget that the Cross, which was the place of His death, was also the place of His greatest victory.
Jesus knows exactly what you are going through. At this very moment, He is at the right hand of the Father and making intercession for you. He is praying for you.
His love has never left you. In spite of what you may feel, and despite what your circumstances seem to say, there is hope. The Lord will carry you through this season.
What He began in your life, He will faithfully complete.
Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
