Wednesday Discipleship & Prayer
This Wednesday at 7:00 pm, join us at the chapel or online as we continue Part 2 of Exodus 20, studying the Ten Commandments. Every believer needs a solid understanding of these foundational truths through which God reveals His holy character and provides wisdom and guidance for daily living. Following the Bible study, we’ll spend time together in prayer.
Calvary Youth & Calvary Kids
We are pleased to share some important updates regarding Calvary Youth (CCSH). The church leadership has invited Travis and Kyla Wightman to serve as our Youth Leaders. They will be supported by our faithful youth leadership team—Blake and Lily, Esther, and Shane—together with the pastoral team. They will coordinate and oversee the Calvary Youth ministry through to the end of the year.
Calvary Youth recommences on Friday, 31st July, along with the Calvary Kids programme. Please continue to pray for our leaders and for the young people as they grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus Christ.

From the Pastor’s Pen
United States Missing? – As we continue to watch the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, we see many of the same nations repeatedly making the headlines. Israel, Iran, the United States, Russia, China, and the NATO nations all continue to manoeuvre politically and militarily, often sending mixed signals as to whom they support or oppose. As Christians, however, our understanding of the future should not be shaped primarily by the daily news but by God’s Word. The Bible reveals who the major players will be during the Tribulation period that follows the Rapture of the Church. We read of Israel, a revived Roman Empire, Russia and her allies (Ezekiel 38–39), and the kings from the east (Revelation 16:12), which many understand to include China and other eastern nations. Yet one nation is noticeably absent from Bible prophecy—the United States. Despite being the world’s leading military and economic power today, there is no clear mention of America as a dominant force during the events of the Tribulation.
Why is that? The Bible does not tell us. We should be careful not to be dogmatic where Scripture is silent. Some have suggested that the Rapture could so dramatically impact the nation that it loses its global influence. Others believe internal political, economic, or social upheaval, even civil war, could diminish its power long before then. These are possibilities, but they remain speculation. What we do know with certainty is far more important than what we do not know. Jesus Christ is coming for His Church. After the Rapture, God’s righteous judgment will be poured out upon a world that has rejected His gracious offer of forgiveness, salvation, mercy, and love. That is why the most important question is not, “What will happen to the United States?” but rather, “Am I ready to meet the Lord?” The Bible reminds us that every one of us has only one life to live, and each person must decide what they will do with Jesus Christ. Eternity hangs upon that decision. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Today is the day to receive Christ. Don’t put off the greatest decision you will ever make. None of us is promised tomorrow, but all who place their faith in Jesus Christ can look forward with confidence to His return and the glorious hope of being with Him forever.

Phl 2:4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
A newcomer to Church may find it hard to fit in. They assume that everyone has known each other for years. Church is not a place where someone should leave feeling lonely and left out. After the teaching of the Word there should be at least one person who will invest time to get to know them, encourage them or pray for them. Pray that you may be led by the Holy Spirit to be a vessel to show God’s love to someone this week.
Psalm 40: 6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. 7 Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. 8 I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”
