Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today!
🌸 Calvary Ladies – Ladies, this week is your next Tuesday gathering, 22nd September here at the Chapel. Women of all ages and backgrounds gather together for a wonderful time in God’s Word, prayer and encouragement. You are warmly invited to come and be part of God’s gracious work amongst the women of Calvary.

🎉 Calvary Youth – Special Quiz Evening! Friday, 26th September, with prizes and plenty of fun. Invite your friends and come along to be part of what God is doing amongst the young people of Calvary. A great time of fun, fellowship and growing in God’s Word as we discover, even though young in years, that God has called each of us into His Kingdom for a very special purpose. Put 26th September in your phone and be sure to be there!
Operation Christmas Child commenced last Sunday! You know what to do—grab a shoebox and prepare to make a difference in the life of a young boy or girl this Christmas with a gift of love.
📖 Parents – Let’s bring our Bibles! Most, if not all, of the children and young people attending CCSH have their own personal Bible. Let’s encourage them to bring their Bibles along to Junior Church, Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth. God’s Word is the weapon of every believer as we live for Christ and the means by which God helps us to grow strong in Him! Dads and mums, remember to encourage your children in being part of Junior Church Missions giving each Sunday.
🙏 Wednesday Evening – Ephesians & Prayer
Each Wednesday, Pastor Keith will continue teaching through the Book of Ephesians in depth, before we gather together to pray for the needs of the Church and call upon the power of God to direct and bring His blessing here at CCSH.
Even though it is a weeknight, we encourage parents to consider rostering their family commitments so they can gather with the Church to learn God’s Word and pray together on Wednesday evenings. As we build into our families a pattern of faithful dedication to the fellowship God has placed us in, we can have a lasting impact not only on our own children, but also on all those who call CCSH their home fellowship.
Media Desk – Be part of our media team each Wednesday evening as we live stream our teaching to the world via YouTube. You can be part of this precious ministry and be involved in reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. See Pastor Marlon or Pastor Nathanael to serve.

From the Pastor’s desk –
One World Religion – Revelation 17:5 — “Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth.” This past week, two significant events occurred within historic Christian institutions in England and Belgium that should cause every Bible-believing Christian to stop and take notice. In England, the Archbishop of Canterbury presented the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation to Pakistani Muslim cleric Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi. The award recognised what Lambeth Palace described as his support for religious minorities in Pakistan, particularly the Christian community. However, previous comments made by Ashrafi concerning Osama bin Laden subsequently came to light, and the Archbishop’s office withdrew the award. The fact that the award was presented in the first place—and specifically as an honour for interfaith cooperation—is something worth considering carefully as we watch the direction in which the world is moving. Meanwhile, at KU Leuven in Belgium, the opening of the 2026–27 academic year included a Catholic Mass at St Peter’s Church. Reports have raised controversy over the inclusion of Islamic chants or prayer within the Mass. KU Leuven itself confirms that the opening included a celebratory Mass, although the university’s official material does not document the Islamic element. Now, we need to be careful. These individual events do not, by themselves, prove that Revelation 17 has been fulfilled. But they do illustrate a growing emphasis upon religious cooperation and the bringing together of different faith traditions. Revelation 17 speaks of a future religious system associated with “Babylon the Great”, and many Christian’s understand this passage as pointing toward a worldwide religious system connected with the final Antichrist kingdom. The speed at which our world is changing—and the way biblical themes concerning the Last Days are increasingly visible—should not be ignored by comfortable Christians who simply continue with life as though nothing is happening. There is no need for panic, but there is certainly a call to watchfulness. Jesus repeatedly told His followers to watch. The apostle Paul reminded believers that the Day of the Lord would not overtake those who were spiritually awake and walking in the light. And Jesus Himself said: “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” — Matthew 24:44 Consider the world before the Flood. In Genesis 6, humanity had become deeply corrupted, and yet life continued. People carried on with their ordinary activities until God’s judgment came. Jesus used those days as a warning concerning His own coming: “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage… and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” — Matthew 24:38–39
The danger for believers today is not simply that the world is becoming increasingly ungodly. The danger is that we can become so comfortable with it that we stop looking for Christ.
We can become absorbed with our businesses, our homes, our finances, our entertainment, our families and our everyday concerns, while the biblical signs surrounding us barely capture our attention. Peter gives us the right perspective. He does not tell us to become fearful. He tells us to become holy, watchful and diligent:
2 Peter 3:11–14 “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God…
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.”
We are not called to predict the day. We are called to be ready for the Lord. The world may be moving rapidly toward everything the Bible has warned us about, but our hope is not in this world getting better. Our hope is in Jesus Christ coming again.

Helen’s heart for the women of Calvary
Jesus calls us His friends and part of this friendship is that He has revealed His ‘mysteries’ with us. We are no longer in the dark but have the ‘light of life’ – John 8:12. We know where we are going. You brethren are not in darkness…You are all sons of light – 1 Thess 5:5 In this world of spiritual darkness will you shine the light of God’s truth?
