Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today!
🌸🎁 Operation Christmas Child – Get your shoe Box! Last week to return your box is October 4.
📖 Parents – Let’s bring our Bibles! Most, if not all, of the children and young people attending CCSH have their own personal Bible. Let’s encourage them to bring their Bibles along to Junior Church, Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth. God’s Word is the weapon of every believer as we live for Christ and the means by which God helps us to grow strong in Him! Dads and mums, remember to encourage your children in being part of Junior Church Missions giving each Sunday.
School Holidays & Prayer
With the current school holidays commencing, this is a great opportunity for families to join us on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings during the school break. We would love to see you!
In addition, we are looking to see our prayer preparation for our services grow stronger. We invite as many as are able to join our Pre-Service Prayer Team each Sunday at 9:40 am in Classroom #1.
Your prayers can make an amazing difference! 🙏

We Are Not Insignificant – There are times when we can feel totally insignificant in this modern world.
We watch world leaders from China and the United States meeting together. We hear our Prime Minister speaking at the United Nations, while our Treasurer tells us he understands the pressures families are facing. We feel those pressures every time we fill our vehicles with fuel, pay our mortgages and face the rising cost of living.
The fuel excise alone is currently 42.3 cents per litre—almost $30 in excise on a 70-litre tank. Australia’s Federal Government gross debt is approaching $1 trillion, with the 2026–27 Budget projecting approximately $1.051 trillion by June 2027.
And we ask ourselves, “Where do I fit into all of this?”
The prophet Habakkuk asked a similar question when he looked at the violence, injustice and corruption around him:
“O LORD, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear?”
— Habakkuk 1:2 But God answered: “Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe.” — Habakkuk 1:5
Habakkuk could not see what God was doing, but God was working. And He is still working today.
We may feel insignificant when we look at governments, world leaders, economies and billion-dollar decisions. But we are not insignificant to God.
The nations may make their plans, economies may rise and fall, and governments may change, but God’s purposes will stand. His plan is coming to pass.
So let us not fear what we see around us. Let us trust the One who sees what we cannot see.
We are not insignificant. God knows us, God sees us, God has a purpose for us, and God is working.
“For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe.” — Habakkuk 1:5
Helen’s heart for the women of Calvary
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
When we came to Christ we gave the Lord Jesus the right to rule our lives. Before Christ, sin ruled our lives and try as we may we could not live the life we wanted to. We give our children advice to make right choices; in choosing their friends and pathways, so too must we make right choices and not allow our old school master to lure us back to our old ways. Psa 55:22 Cast your burden on the LORD and He will help you…
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji
I had the opportunity to speak with Pastor Charles in Fiji on Tuesday afternoon, and he sends his love and greetings to everyone here at CCSH.
Pastor Charles has been unwell with a virus he picked up at their recent Family Camp, which had more than 200 people in attendance. It was a wonderful camp, with five people entering the waters of baptism as a result.
Pastor Charles is currently teaching the fellowship through the book of Hebrews. They are also hoping to lodge their application for Church registration with the government next Sunday. They are simply waiting for their Board of Trustees to locate their birth certificates, which are required for the application to be lodged.
Pastor Charles’ wife, Tina, has now completed her tenure at the deaf school. She is currently accompanying a deaf student to Singapore for a short time as part of a special work assignment.
The adoption process for Charles and Tina’s children is not yet complete. This has been delayed because they are still waiting for a birth certificate from the biological mother of one of the children.
Please continue to keep Pastor Charles, Tina, their family, and the work in Fiji in your prayers.
Isa 6:8
¶Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
