Sunday 1st November 2026
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today!
Today we gather with thanksgiving in our hearts and remembrance on our minds as we come to the Lord’s Table. As we take the bread and the cup, we are reminded of our Lord Jesus Christ’s incredible love for us and the sacrifice He willingly made on our behalf. The bread reminds us of His body, given for us, and the cup of His precious blood, shed for the forgiveness of our sins. But our remembrance does not end at the cross! We also rejoice in the glorious truth that Jesus rose again, conquering sin and death, and that we serve a risen Saviour! What a privilege it is for us, as His redeemed people, to pause, give thanks and remember what our salvation cost Him. May we never take the Lord’s Table for granted, but come with grateful hearts, examining ourselves and rejoicing in all that Christ has done for us.
🙏 PRE-SERVICE PRAYER TEAM -You are encouraged to join with us each Sunday at 9:45 am in Classroom #1 as we pray for our church, our services, and the work of the Lord. 🔥 Your prayers make a difference as we prepare our hearts to worship and serve Him!

Helen’s heart
Psalm 78:4 We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders. The best gift we can give our children is love. The pure and unselfish love that comes from our Heavenly Father – the love of wanting the best for them. It means meeting physical needs but more importantly enriching their minds and spirit. To bring to the child’s mind the delight of knowing God and lovingly teaching, guiding and giving them confidence to pursue all God wants them to be. The way to meet this tall order is to example it as Marian Edgerman puts it: “God help me to be honest so my children learn honesty. God help me to be kind, so my children learn kindness. God help me to be faithful, so my children learn faith. God help me to love, so my children will be loving.” Parents may you continue earnestly in this high calling!

Every Part of the Body of Christ Is Important!
1 Corinthians 12:27 – “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” We are truly blessed at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour by the many faithful servants of Christ who work together to keep our church healthy and our ministries functioning. Our church board consists of godly men who diligently seek the Lord before making decisions, leading with humility and righteous integrity. We are thankful for those who care for our buildings and grounds, keeping our facilities clean and ready for God’s people. We appreciate our ushers and greeters, those who prepare coffee and clean the kitchen, and the faithful men and women serving in our creche, Junior Church, Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth. Our media team enables us to minister both within our fellowship and around the world, while our worship team arrives early, rehearses and uses its musical gifts to lead us in corporate worship. We are also thankful for those who help maintain our physical safety and ensure our equipment meets health and safety requirements. And how precious are our faithful prayer servants, who continually intercede for our church family and bring our needs before the Lord, especially in desperate times. Every servant has a part to play in the body of Christ. Not everyone is seen, and not every task receives recognition, but every act of faithful service matters to God. Of course, we are not perfect. We make mistakes and sometimes disappoint one another. We all need God’s grace and mercy, and we must be willing to extend that same grace to others, encouraging and building one another up in Christ. Let us never take our fellow servants for granted. Instead, may we continue serving faithfully, loving sincerely and working together for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:23 – “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Food for thought: Are we appreciating and encouraging those who faithfully serve alongside us? Remember, the church is not built upon one person, but upon many members working together for the glory of God. Every member matters, every ministry matters, and every act of service is an opportunity to glorify Jesus!
