The Stronger Man Has Bound the Strong Man
(Inspired by Matthew 12:22–30)
A demon-possessed man, blind and mute, is brought to Jesus. Completely helpless. Jesus heals him completely. The crowds wonder if this is the Son of David. The Pharisees on the other hand, claim the power is demonic!
Jesus answers with simple logic: a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Why would Satan sabotage himself? Their accusation was silly! Then He drops the truth that changes everything: “How can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man?”
Satan is the strong man. Jesus is the stronger Man. He has invaded the house, tied up the enemy, and is taking back what was stolen. This is not an even match. The outcome was decided the moment Jesus stepped into the ring. Jesus is Greater!
Whatever fear presses in on you today — spiritual darkness, anxiety about the future, a sense of oppression — remember: you do not serve a Saviour who is fighting to a draw. You belong to the One who has already bound the strong man. “…for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4).
Fear does not get the final word. Christ does.
