Heaven Has Already Answered

Selected Scriptures

If humanity can’t settle the question, who can? Heaven can.

The Father spoke at Jesus’ baptism: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). On the mountain He added, “Hear Him!” (Matthew 17:5). The angels announced a Saviour, “Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). Even the demons cried out, “Jesus, You Son of God!” (Matthew 8:29). The angels worship Him, the demons tremble, and somehow humanity think of Jesus as just a nice teacher.

The Scriptures point to Him from start to finish. Isaiah promised a Child whose name would be “Mighty God” (Isaiah 9:6).

And then Jesus Himself speaks. He said He came down from heaven (John 6:38). When a man called Him “Good Teacher,” He answered, “No one is good but One, that is, God” (Mark 10:18), and that doesn’t leave the door open for “good man, but not God.” He said, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30). His hearers picked up stones for blasphemy, “because You, being a Man, make Yourself God” (John 10:33). They understood Him perfectly. He forgave sins (Mark 2:5). He declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).

Jesus wasn’t crucified for being kind. He was crucified for claiming to be God, which is blasphemy, unless it’s true.

Pause and ponder: Which of Jesus’ own words speaks most clearly to you?
