Sunday 25th October 2026
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today!

Helen’s heart
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Phil 4:13 We need energy to keep us going throughout the day. The sun is our physical source of energy – its rays travel to earth in 8 minutes, at its core the sun’s temperature reaches 15 million degrees Celsius. As powerful as the sun is, it is infinitesimal compared to the infinite power of God. The sun and untold billions of stars, were called into existence by a mere word from God. Think on this when you make your requests to God – the God who can do ‘far more exceedingly than we ask or think!’ His ears are open to the righteous one’s prayers – 1 Peter 3:12b

🙏 PRAYER AFTER THE SERVICE – If you would like prayer after the service, please meet with our pastors at the front of the sanctuary immediately following the service. We would love to pray with you!
🙏 PRE-SERVICE PRAYER TEAM – Calling men of God who are also men of prayer! You are encouraged to join with us each Sunday at 9:45 am in Classroom #1 as we pray for our church, our services, and the work of the Lord. 🔥 Your prayers make a difference as we prepare our hearts to worship and serve Him!

Standing Up for Jesus, Even Though Young in Years
Scripture: Psalm 8:2 (KJV) “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.” Our children, as followers of Christ, are not exempt from persecution simply because of their age! Our older children, teenagers, primary school children, and even those in kindergarten face a world that is increasingly antagonistic towards their faith in Jesus Christ. Too often, I notice parents trying to remove their children from the risk of persecution rather than empowering and instructing them in how to face the arrows of the enemy and stand firm in their faith in Jesus. Of course, we must protect and guide our children, but we must also teach them to love the Lord, obey His Word, and stand courageously for their convictions.
This week, we had the joy of learning about one of our youngest grandchildren speaking to their teacher and explaining that they would not be participating in the Halloween activities at school. What a heart-warming blessing for this little one’s parents to see their child’s heart standing with Jesus, desiring to honour Him rather than compromise their love and obedience to Him!
Jesus Himself welcomed children and reminded us of their precious place in God’s kingdom (Matthew 19:14). We must never underestimate what the Lord can do through a young heart that is surrendered to Him. Our children need to know that they can stand for Jesus with grace, kindness, and courage, even when doing so makes them different from those around them. May we, who are older in years, learn from the faith and courage of our young ones! Let us never be ashamed of our Lord, whatever the cost. As Paul encouraged Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
May we all stand for our Lord Jesus Christ and leave the consequences in the hands of Him who loves us!
