Daily devotion – Living hope!
The world often speaks of hope but the reality is that Men’ s hope are dead hopes. They are like cut flowers that flourish for a season and then fade and die.
“All flesh is like grass
and all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
and the flower falls,
but the word of the Lord remains forever.”
And this word is the good news that was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:24-25
But the hope the believer is promised in God’s Word is fresh and fruitful because it is a living hope.
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
This hope is purchased by the living Christ and promised in the Word of God.
1Peter 1:23 ….since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
I encourage you to do a word chase through the Bible on the Word hope and you will discover so many promises that God has for you that you may not even be unaware of!
Every one of these ‘hopes’ are living promises that God desires for you to know and enjoy.
Bless you this week in your time of devotion with your Lord.
