Just what is right and what is wrong?
We live in a society that is now completely confused about what really is right and what is wrong!
We have new definitions for everything from that of a family, marriage and love.
What happened? What went wrong? What changed?
Twice in the Book of Judges it is recorded, Jdg 17:6 /Jdg 21:25 – In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes…
The modern society has no God and therefore people are now living and doing what they think is right in their own eyes!
The prophet Isaiah warned us of these days when he said, Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
So how can we truly know what is right and what is wrong? What is true and what is false?
How can we be sure we are on the right track.? The Apostle Paul put it beautifully when he wrote to young Timothy, 2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
It is God’s Word that we turn to, not our own reasoning, not what most people say, not what I feel is right.
God has given us His Word which we can trust for He is the God of Truth. Jesus said of the Scriptures, “Thy Word is truth” – John 17:17.
The Scriptures Paul said are PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE – what is right – for REPROOF – what is not right – for CORRECTION – how to get right – and for instruction in RIGHTEOUSNESS – how to stay right.
A Christian who studies the Bible and applies what he learns will grow in holiness and avoid many pitfalls in this world.
He or she will know what is right and what is wrong!
