When words are not enough..

There are times in my walk with God that bring me to a place where I am totally overwhelmed by the blessings of God but more importantly His very presence and His impact upon my life. And I am in silence before Him.
I recall the time that King David was overwhelmed with the absolute blessing of God. David was a man who just constantly thought about His God and David loved the Lord with all his heart. David decided to build God a house, a beautiful place of worship. To make a long story short, God told Nathan the prophet that He didn’t need a house and besides this He, God, would instead build David a house, in fact a throne and kingdom that would be established forever – speaking of course of Jesus coming through the line and family of David.
Nathan tells David the bad news first, “God says He doesn’t want you to build Him a house!” But then Nathan tells David the really good news – “God says He is going to build you a house David, a kingdom and throne that will last forever.”
Now when David hears this his response is amazing! David the singer song writer, the prolific worship author of psalm after psalm, hundreds of songs that extol the greatness of God was stuck for words.  2 Samuel 7:20….And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant….

In other words, no pun intended, “God I’m just speechless, I don’t know what to say, I don’t have the words to express what I feel about Your grace.”……
My prayer for you in your personal walk with God is that you too will have times and moments like David where, because of God’s presence in your life,  and your wonder at His blessed grace and love working in and through your life, is that you will find moments, times,  where speech, words are NOT enough.
May you grow in grace this week and may you just love to sit in God’s presence – Amen.
Remember God loves you!
