CRIES ONLY GOD HEARS…

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

There are times in all of our lives, certain moments when our hearts are so overwhelmed that our agony or sorrow is so great that we can’t even utter audible cries. Have you ever wondered in those times if anyone knows the pain or sorrow you are going through or do you sense an absolute loneliness, a desolation that would make it appear that no one hears you most traumatic cries of desperation?
In the Book of Exodus the children of slavery once blessed under the rule of Joseph, now with his death and change of Pharaoh, their lives had transformed into oppressed slaves of the Egyptian nation. It was during that time that one of the most blessed scriptures was noted, Exodus 3:7 And the LORD said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
God heard their cries! Its just like a parent chatting with others, a bundle of kids milling around, playing with each other when one of them is hurt, suffers in some way and cries out. In all the noise, one set of ears, a tilt of a head and the mother or father of that cry hears and runs to their child’s aid. So it is with our Heavenly Father in those times when relationships are at their most strained moment, a loved one has been hurt in an accident or you have suffered a blow to your heart that has pierced your deepest soul. He hears your cry, He knows your sorrows!
Today if you have been dealt a blow that has shaken your very core, if you have cried out know that your cries have touched the ears of your Heavenly Father. But also know that He just doesn’t hear your sorrows He also too sets about bringing comfort and protection to those who call on His name.
To those suffering in Egypt He sent a Moses. To you and I today He sent His Son Jesus Christ and He came to keep you and protect you…and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand…John 10:28.
Your prayers, your cries have not gone unheard. Now trust in Him to get you through, to bring you out of this storm, this trial. For He is the Lord God Almighty!
