This Week at Calvary
Due to the Covid 19 outbreak, all our services will be coming to you via our livestreaming program. Should you be unable to be with us live, all our messages will be posted on our web page, ccsh.com.au to enable you to keep up with our teaching through the Bible. To all those who have continued to make your grace offering via our account number and BSB, thank you and we know the Lord will continue to bless you greatly! We will be coming to you this Good Friday evening at 6:00 pm with Pastor Israel bringing a special Easter message. Easter Sunday morning at 10:00 am, we will be celebrating communion together online, so prepare your home and families to have bread and juice available, as we gather around the biggest table of thanksgiving one could imagine spreading throughout all our homes and locations! Pastor Keith will be teaching on the blessed resurrection of Jesus Christ straight after communion and our worship time together – it will be a very different and powerful Easter Sunday experience like no other! Ladies, we are working on some specific studies for you which we hope to have online as soon as possible. Kids don’t forget to check out the Sunday school section on our web page.
From the Pastor’s Desk –
What is God doing in this unusual time in the church and the world as we travel through this Covid 19 experience? The Bible tells us, Isa 55:9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. The prophet Habakkuk cried out to God, Hab 1:3
Why do You show me iniquity, And cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; There is strife, and contention arises. God answered the prophet – Hab 1:5 “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it. In other words, God was doing an amazing work then and now that is above our paygrade to understand! But He is moving in such a powerful way that the Church is both being refined and inflamed. There has never been a greater opportunity than now to share Christ’s love, forgiveness, grace and His soon return. We are seeing changes to our world so rapid that they are literally occurring day by day. Helen and I pray that you and your families are gathering together around the Word and in prayer like never before. As believers, we are not in the dark, but we are children of the Light and we surely know the season we are living in. Jesus commanded us to Watch and pray as we see the Day approaching. To not give in to temptation. God is at work – let us be wise in these days and fulfil the call of God in each of our lives. Amen.
