This Week at Calvary
Join us this week via our livestreaming connection for all the normal service times here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. Included in the teachings will be our worship team so join us as we worship together. In addition, each of the messages will be posted on our web page if you are unable to catch them live. Helen will be providing studies for the ladies during this period as well and we are looking to have the studies that normally occur Tuesday livestreamed. We have not forgotten the children, so we have created studies for the kids on our web page under children’s ministry which in viewing are brilliant. They involve a lesson, a song and craft. Get the kids locked in! You can also follow us on twitter where we will be posting short devotions via video to keep you encouraged.
From the Pastor’s Desk – We head into an Easter with next week being Palm Sunday, where we cannot physically gather together to celebrate Christ’s resurrection and remember His substitutional death on the cross for us. But, we can via our live streaming and webpage, gather together still in our homes, as the body of Christ, at the same time to worship He who is our Lord and Saviour. Whilst you are unable to attend church, it is important to maintain the times you normally would be with the church in service and to continue to worship and sit under the teaching of God’s Word. Let us learn during the Covid 19 restrictions, from young Daniel the prophet, who though a prisoner in a far off land away from Israel, kept to the times of prayer, worship and reading of God’s Word just as if he was living back in Israel. It is this discipline in Daniel’s life that powered Daniel to live for God in such a way that King Nebuchadnezzar was won over to worship the God of Israel. Text, email and phone others in the Calvary family during this period of isolation, and let us uphold one another in prayer and be an encouragement. The Covid 19 situation will come to an end. What effect will it have had upon your walk with God? Will it have strengthened it, or will it have revealed a weakness that could no longer be hidden? Now is the time to walk closer with God! Don’t fall away, spend time in the Word with God each day, let Him encourage you, worship Him and trust in Him during this time. We keep you all in our prayers – Keith and Helen
Grace Offering
We have a number of people wanting to know how they can maintain their grace giving at this time – remember you can give electronically now via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Luke 6:38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.
2 Cor 9:6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others
