Daily devotion – Tuesday 6th April 2021
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you – John 14:2
We will spend eternity in Heaven – we need to remember this the next time we lose our job, the next time we are ill, our finances crumple, or someone criticizes us.
You may be having a hard time now, but it’s temporary; you are going to Heaven.
What else should be on our mind regarding Heaven? It will be a place without darkness, Revelation 22:5 – There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light.
Heaven will be a place free from fear. It seems as though our society is becoming increasingly dangerous and violent. But in Heaven, you won’t have to put locks on your doors. You will be safe.
In Heaven, all your questions will be answered. Right now, there is so much I don’t understand or know why God allows certain things. But I have come to realize that God is sovereign, and He knows what He is doing. He is in control!
But the best thing of all about Heaven is the knowledge that we will spend eternity with Jesus Christ. The Bible says that God has loved us in order, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus – Ephesians 2:7
Imagine that! God can’t wait to make it clear to you how much He has loved you from eternity past.
Jesus says I go to prepare a place for you. This is a fantastic promise for us all!
Are you ready for the grand tour?
