Jesus Christ is coming again!
As children, you will remember playing “hide and go seek” – Aussies shortened the term as they always do and call it “Hidey.”
The one who was about to go looking for all the other children would call out, “Coming ready or not!”
Those words ring true to the soon return of Jesus for His Church.
He is coming whether we are ready or not!
Paul wrote to a young pastor by the name of Titus a short letter of encouragement. In that letter, Paul wrote the words, “ Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our…Saviour Jesus Christ.” – Titus 2:13.
Paul knew that one of the best ways to get rid of discouragement is to remember that Jesus is coming again.
What is happening in your life today is not going to last forever!
The most beautiful, glorious truth in all the world is the coming again of Jesus Christ for His Church.
When we look about today and see the pessimism on every side, we should remember the Bible is the only book in the world that reliably predicts the future.
The Bible is more up to date than tomorrow’s newspaper. It says the consummation of all things shall be the return of Jesus Christ to this earth.
This truth gives us hope – but it should also sober us and make us more diligent. After all, we do not know when Jesus will return – we know it is soon, any day!
Believing in the return of Jesus Christ does not make us less concerned about this world; it makes us more concerned because we know we are in the Last Days, and time may be short.
Now is the time to live for Christ and to witness for Him!
