Diary notes
Pastor’s Nathanael and Marlon will be overseeing the ministry here at CCSH along with our Elders Reece De Jonge, Richard Austin and our Deacon Thomas Woodage. For all ministry needs please refer to these faithful men of God. Calvary Men, we encourage you to be part of the prayer team that meets in classroom #1 prior to the morning services. In addition, we are looking for men to be part of our greeting and usher team for 2020. Please see Thomas Woodage to be a servant of God in these important ministries here at CCSH. This coming 2020 we are, Lord willing, hoping to build a strong drama and choir ministry here at CCSH. These two ministries create both an exciting platform to glorify God and encourage the believers here at CCSH. Prayerfully consider being involved in these two new ministry opportunities. More details to follow on the return of the team from Israel. Don’t forget to be reading the Book of Philippians to be ready for our new series on JOY through this amazing letter from Paul.
A Word from Pastor Keith –
I remember doing a course at Curtin University in Human Resources whilst working at the Education Department of WA. Our lecturer explained that the Chinese businesspeople plan ahead not just in 10 or 20 years in time. But over 100 years in planning ahead. In other words, generations ahead! With the start of the New Year 2020, I would like to suggest to you that you plan your year out in serving the Lord. Such as each Sunday morning and evening, Wednesday evening place in your diary – serving at church. At the beginning of each new day, write down a verse in full from the passage of the Bible you have read that morning. Place in your monthly calendar, books of the Bible to have been read by a certain period. By doing these simple little “good habits” your life will change dramatically and your relationship with God will grow exponentially. My first pastor gave me a great habit which I still apply – speed read 10 chapters of the NT every day. It means that you read the NT once a month. You will be amazed at how your knowledge of God’s word will grow and its effect on your life. Psa 33:11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations
