Wednesday 7:00pm – Calvary Chapel – Prayer – Luke 4 Overview
This morning – Unfortunately, we had to make some necessary adjustments with our services due to the Covid restrictions that you all would be aware. We are only allowed 20 people (with masks) to gather here at the chapel. Therefore, for this Sunday, we will be providing services via our live streaming media only.
But you will be able to worship and study God’s Word with us still, but not physically with the body of Christ here at CCSH. In addition, this Sunday, we were scheduled to have our communion service, but we will have now moved that to next Sunday, Lord willing, that we are free again to again, but with restrictions of 150 people, and hopefully without masks. We appreciate your prayers for the fellowship here at CCSH during this time as we continue to serve Christ in spite of Covid. Next Sunday, we celebrate communion. Let us prepare our hearts for this blessed time as we remember Jesus. If you are not sure how to watch our live streaming service, log onto our web page and follow the links – ccsh.com.au This Wednesday, with the Covid restrictions lifted again, we will be able to gather for prayer and our study overview of Luke’s Gospel chapter 4. Be encouraged to take advantage of the school holiday break and join us for prayer!
From the Pastor’s Desk – We have seen mighty Egypt, then the Babylonians, the Medes and the Persians, the Greeks and the all-powerful Roman Empire. Yesterday on the news, we saw the nation China, 1 4 billion people, promoting their military power and strength. Meanwhile, Russia, Iran and North Korea continue also to flex their nuclear muscles and missiles. Many are fearful; we are living on the “Eve of Destruction”, just as the famous song released in 1965 by Barry McGuire…, “Think of all the hate there is in Red China. Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama. Ah, you may leave here for four days in space. But when you return, it’s the same old place..” It was during that period of great unrest and world alarm that the ‘Jesus movement’ exploded. It was an act of God! I pray that as we see our world, cloaked with Covid, troubled by dictators, and spiralling into moral depravity, that we pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit to bring yet another spiritual revival. The Bible tells us, The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2Pe 3:9. The time is both short and ripe for an outpouring of God’s Spirit. Let us as a Church call on the Lord as ask for it to happen here in our nation, in our state, in our community and our Church.
Grace giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement forgiving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us remember that God was unsparing in His giving Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine..
Early at Church (Next Sunday) – Are you an early church arriver? You can be a blessing if you are at church usually earlier than most. You can join us for prayer and intercede for all those who will be serving here at CCSH that day. Or you can assist with help setting up the children’s areas. Or are you a church stayer? You are one of the last always to leave. You can serve by helping clean, prepare the sanctuary for the evening service. Have all the waste containers emptied and ready for the evening. There are many ways you can be a blessing! Start next Sunday and serve the Lord….here at CCSH.
