Daily devotion – Tuesday 21st September 2021
Isaiah 57:20-21 – “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, When it cannot rest,
Whose waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 “There is no peace,” Says my God, “for the wicked.”
As we look at our community today, sadly we see people drifting under the power of all the winds and tides of this modern world, sweeping them further and further away from the God who created them.
The youth of our day are presented with powerful persuasions that demand their response, adulation, and eventual capitulation. Matters of morality, of sexual identity and delusion at what is true or false.
A life without God is like a boat without an anchor, a ship without a compass. But God never intended our lives to be such.
When a lost lonely guilty soul receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, experiencing, forgiveness, love, and hope – Jesus Christ personally brings with Him a calm to our chaos and direction to our drifting.
It does not necessarily happen overnight – but as we learn to live by God’s precious Word, the Bible gives us the principles we are to live and guide our lives by.
We leave the past behind us and discover the peace that He alone can give.
We thank God for doing this in our lives and pray for our friends, family and those in our lives who yet do not know Christ, that they may find in Him the stability and peace we now have found, that they all seek.
