Daily devotion – eternal exhiliration
Have you ever experienced the joy of creating, building, painting or designing something. Many a builder will proudly point to the houses they have designed and built.
Or a sculptor standing back and seeing their finished creation – there is something within us that having completed such a task it brings us immense joy.
Because of His great love….He ….made us alive together with Christ. – Ephesians 2:4-5
As followers of Christ, it is important for us to remember that we do not serve the Lord on an hourly rate or contract amount. We serve the Lord for all of eternity.
When we eventually vacate this earthly body we now possess and put on our new immortal body, a whole new sphere of service will begin. The Bible teaches us that God’s servants shall serve Him forever.
The beauty of our new service is that we will never grow weary from it. Because Jesus is alive, we have – “an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled…reserved in Heaven.” – 1 Peter 1:4
Heaven will in no way be boring and I can only imagine the exhilaration we each will experience being able to serve the Lord in our new immortal, untiring bodies and the joy of being able to do so!
