It’s just 19 days until our special Christmas Eve service – 6:00pm, 24th December. Starting in the New Year 2022, we will be teaching through the Book of Joshua discovering what this amazing book means for each of us today. We encourage you to prepare for this new series by reading ahead and preparing for this exciting new study! We will learn the kind of life that God wants us to experience today! Finally, CCSH delivered two full ute loads plus, of toys and foodstuffs for this year’s community Christmas outreach. Amazing and blessed!

Helen’s Heart I know thou hearest me always – John 11:42 – Rush, so much to do….decorations, lights, meals to plan, gifts to wrap…Time to….connect to God and pray that He makes you still, to commune with Him, and rest. It was such a blessing to see so many women turn out on Friday evening to connect and be refreshed by God’s Word and fellowship. – Helen.

From the Pastor’s Desk It’s just 13 days until Christmas greets us this year 2021. The shops are getting busier, schools are entering their last days, and people are finalising their Christmas gift shopping. You can sense the Christmas season around us in many ways. The days getting hotter, the children certainly getting a little more excited as the day approaches wondering about their gifts. Parents panicking about how little time they have to do so much. It’s time to STOP! It’s time to pause and pray. To shut out the noise of a selfish world and ‘enter our prayer closet’. It’s time to be alone with your Saviour. To simply be in His presence, Bible open, ears listening for His voice, hearts filled with humility and thanksgiving. In Philippians 2:5-11, the Apostle Paul details the lead up before Christ came to Bethlehem. Paul describes our Lord’s departure from Heaven, to take on the body of a newborn baby, to be born in Bethlehem. Our Lord lays aside His glory, and takes on the appearance of humanity, He humbles Himself and begins the steps that would lead Him to Calvary’s Cross. Let this Christmas be filled and overflowing with Christ. Have Him in your heart, in your mind, in your speech. Let us seize this precious moment to prepare our hearts as the Shepherds who heard the angelic choir, as the Magi, the wisemen, so too let us follow His star so that we and our families can gather around Him once more and worship Him who is born King!

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji This last Friday we purchased 40 brand new Bibles for CC Nasinu and posted them off the same day. If you want to be part of resourcing Fiji, simply place your offering in an envelope marked – CC Nasinu.

Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving 2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Christmas Eve – would you like to be part of our servant team for our special Christmas Ever service? See Thomas Woodage at the information desk and he will ensure you are plugged into the best place for you to be a blessing that night!

Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary to not distract others – thank you for your assistance in this matter.
