Diary notes – Welcome this day as we gather to worship Jesus Christ our Lord. We have some urgent vacancies to be filled in our cleaning roster. Should we not fill these we will be forced to hire contractors to clean. Maybe you see this as a ministry that you could serve in please see either Reece or Holly De Jonge. You are invited to join others who gather for prayer prior to our morning service in classroom # 1. We encourage you to become part of the servant team here at CCSH and to join us for our Sunday evening and midweek prayer meeting here at the chapel. You can also keep up with all our teaching services via our web and podcasts on ccsh.com.au Invite family and friends to join with you as you fellowship here at CCSH. Many people simply don’t come because they have never been invited. It’s also a great way to initiate a conversation about our Lord and Saviour.
From the Pastor’s Desk
Billy Graham taught me a blessing in how to be daily in God’s word. He would read a proverb each day, 31 proverbs, one for each day of the month. He would read 3 Psalms a day that would assist him in praising God with the leading of each beautiful psalm of which the majority were praise songs written by King David. Finally he would systematically read through one book of the Bible making journal notes as he did with things that God was teaching him and he was learning. We live in a time where the church is growing increasingly illiterate in their understanding and knowledge of the Bible and it’s showing in the weakness and confusion that many people are living out in their lives each day. The word of God remember, is what we need to live by Jesus said, and not bread alone! If your life is flailing, and you keep making disastrous decisions I encourage you to follow Reverend Graham’s example. It will change your life guaranteed!
