Daily devotion – we need to pray
Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
As we watch our news, we are all shocked and saddened by the invasion of the country of Ukraine by the massive power that is Russia.
So many people interviewed on the streets of Ukraine really did not think the invasion would go ahead. Worse still was to hear their heartbreaking stories of having nowhere to go and no one coming to help them!
On September 9/11 our world changed forever after the attack on the twin towers in New York by terrorists. Revenge was swift and powerful to the regime that was behind that attack.
Russia invades a sovereign nation and all that is levied at Russia are sanctions of varying degrees. Sanctions have never prevented or halted a war.
This coming Sunday I will be giving a special message on what the invasion of Ukraine means in our current world and bible prophecy.
But I implore you who are followers of Christ and therefore believe and put into action the power of prayer.
Please will you pray as an individual, as a married couple and as a family, for the people of both Russia and Ukraine.
This invasion is no isolated incident. There is a greater picture to what is happening in Europe and its impact on the rest of the world – including you and I living in Australia.
Pray with all your heart for God’s protection on His Church and the people in Ukraine – they are depending upon us!
2Ch 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
