Coming Events ––A blessed and happy Mother’s Day to all the mums of CCSH this morning. Please be sure to get your special gift today that has been lovingly and prayerfully hand made just for you by one of our busiest mums. Do you have a heart for the children of CCSH? We ask you to pray for not only the children of CCSH but the faithful Sunday school teachers who each week faithfully minister. It is one of the greatest responsibilities of ministry here at CCSH. Please note there is no evening service for tonight only as each year we allow for families to utilise this time to celebrate Mother’s Day. Please log onto our web site ccsh.com.au and get the latest news from the Calvary Chapel’s serving in Ukraine. Clink on the link – www.calvarychapelmagazine.org Join our CCSH’s YouTube channel to watch all the latest messages. If you would like prayer after this morning’s service or to receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour, we invite you to the front of the sanctuary where the Pastors will be available to pray with you. Next week we will be back into the Book of Ephesians in the morning service.
From the Pastor’s Desk I do not know how many of you utilise the daily devotion I write each day that you can receive to your tablet, computer, laptop or mobile phone. But I want to encourage you to connect to it for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I pray for God’s direction before I write each devotion for what God would have me to share with you. Secondly, as your pastor, it helps us to collectively know where God is leading and instructing us each day and through the times we are living. Lastly, it enables the Church to be reading and praying about the same issues as His body even though we are busy about our families, our work and our own struggles. I believe that God is speaking to us collectively as His Church, even though we each face our own issues and trials. God desires to build His Church to be working together for His glory. These devotions are not to replace your own time with the Lord but are an additional support and teaching to help each one of us serve God and know of His great love for us. Bless you! Simply go to our website and follow the links to have the devotions sent to you each day. www.ccsh.com.au
Helen’s Heart – Being a mother is hard work – there’s no denying it. We can all identify with finally getting all the children dressed and pressed, for a wedding (or similar) and as you’re leaving one of the children vomits on his newly pressed clothes! I spoke with a lady who was so excited – her son who’d been in the armed forces for 32 years was coming over to visit her after this long absence. I wished her a lovely day but wondered why such a long absence. As mothers we often stand in the middle of storms which leave us broken and defeated. It is in these times we have the choice, keep in the mire or yield the brokenness to the One who calms the wind and the waves. Remember it’s “God’s power which guards you through faith….1 Peter 1:5” – Have a blessed Mother’s Day – Helen.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Pray for God to bless His people in this outreach to the people of Fiji.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24
Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary so not distract others – thank you!
