Coming Events ––We are back in Ephesians this Sunday morning with an amazing text. Pastor Marlon begins a news series on the Church, in the Book of Acts tonight at 6:00pm. Tuesday, ladies a special gathering just for you, to be encouraged along with other godly women around the Word of God, and in prayer. Don’t forget to invite a friend to join with you. In our desire to be used by God we need to be a church that prays together. We encourage you to be part of God’s plan and purpose by joining us each Wednesday as we gather to pray. You can also keep connected via our live-streaming service, our YouTube channel, and our daily devotions. But the best connection is always personal. Our focus here at CCSH is to preach the Gospel. We want to encourage you this week to pray and share the Gospel with someone new this and every week. Tell them what Jesus has done for you. Use your story. If you need prayer today, the Pastors and Elders are available to pray with you after each service at the front of the sanctuary. If you want to receive Christ today come forward so that we can pray with you and lead you to know Him and give you a new Bible to begin your new life. CCSH Young Adults is on this week – for more information see Ps Marlon or Hannah Le Chat.
From the Pastor’s Desk The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above – Proverbs 14:14 We often are our own worst enemy. So many people who have named the name of Christ are always miserable and live a life that sees no joy in anything. They will tell you their situation is different, that their problems are greater than anyone else’s and too difficult for God. Such an outlook on life allows them to gain sympathy from others as a constant need. If we continually attempt to remain in control of our own lives we will not be satisfied. The writer of this proverb gives us such great wisdom. Don’t be a backslider, don’t be someone who is living a life in neglect of God’s rule over them. As you do this you will attempt to fill your lack of joy and satisfaction with the things that the world offers – all to no avail. But one who is living at the foot of the Cross, who is everyday surrendering their lives and decisions before Christ, will receive constantly the blessings of God from Heaven. Yes, they will have problems like the other backslider, but they will be satisfied in heart because they are walking with God and trusting in God to help them through their storms. Don’t be filled with your own ways, this will only lead to dissatisfaction. Surrender your life to Christ constantly, read His Word, seek Him in prayer, and contentment will be your reward.

Helen’s Heart – “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” Prov 12:25. What concerns you today? There are many devices of the world that produce anxiety: pressure to pay bills, provide for family, to give them the best in education, sports, music or arts. Paul tells the Church at Philippi how to deal with these pressures – “Let your concerns be made to God.” Proverbs tells us a kind word from others does not go astray either. So, when you notice someone is distressed, don’t dismiss them but give them the kind word of hope, offer to pray with them and remind them of the promises of God to take care of them. Then watch and see the Peace of God keep them!

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Pray for God to bless His people in this outreach to the people of Fiji.

Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24

Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary so not distract others – thank you!
