Daily devotion – who is Jesus?
“Who do you say I am?” – Matthew 16:15
Just who is Jesus? This is the question that we the Church need to know and be able to communicate.
C.S. Lewis pointed out that there are only four possible conclusions you can reach about Jesus.
Either He was a liar, or He was self-deceived, or He was insane – or He was in fact who claimed to be: the Son of God. Which is He?
The only logical conclusion is that Jesus was the Son of God. A liar couldn’t have taught the grand moral principles He did.
A self-deceived person couldn’t have performed the miracles He did. A lunatic couldn’t have held up under pressure the way Jesus did!
After closely observing His life every day, His disciples reached their conclusion: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” – Matthew 16:16
The question is – who do you say He is?
