Daily devotion – Some simple questions.
The Bible teaches us, 1Jo 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. It also warns that the world and the ‘lust thereof” shall pass away, “but he that does the will of God abides forever” – 1 John 2:17
Many young people ask me the following question, “Is it wrong for a Christian to…?” Or they will ask, “How far can a Christian go before….?”
A simple way to settle about 90% of your problem questions along this line is to do the following. Just ask yourself this question when such issues arise in your life – “What would Jesus have me to do?” Or another question to sort out your issues is to ask, “Can I ask Christ’s blessing upon this particular thing for me?”
“What would Jesus Christ think about my amusements, recreation, my Facebook page, books that I read, friends I keep, and television programs I view.”
“Could I ask Jesus to go along with me to this particular function or event?”
The fact of the matter is He is omnipresent, so He will be there anyway!
The point is should you?
