New Connection Cards have been printed with some minor changes – today become part of the servant team here at CCSH. For those praying about going to Israel in 2024, we have calculated the cost to be approximately $5,200 which includes air tickets and all other costs associated for the full tour of Israel. Dads make sure you get your special gift from the body of Christ here at CCSH for Father’s Day. Calvary Women, don’t miss this Tuesday as you gather to encourage other godly women to pray and study God’s Word together!
Helen’s Heart A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother – Proverbs 18:24. Harsh words, gossip and backbiting can cause sometimes irrevocable damage. Christ our Lord is the one Who is closer than a brother to us – He is our friend – He has our back, as the saying goes. Look to Him and you will find no hurts. He is a friend who is constant and will never fail you nor let you down. Trust Him, look to Him and show yourself ‘friendly’ to Him. ….And he (Abraham) was called the Friend of God – James 2:23.
From the Pastor’s Desk – Father’s Day 2022 – a time to give thanks for all the dads who have worked and struggled to lead and provide for their family. God told the Israelites, as detailed in Exodus 34:23, that three times a year all of their males were to appear together before Him to receive instructions. To submit to Him in complete authority as the “Lord God, the God of Israel.” If the men submitted, they were told that they, and those connected to them, would receive God’s covering, protection, and provision. But they would receive this only if they positioned themselves under His absolute rule. Today fathers and manhood are under attack. Men have lost their identity and therefore are not fulfilling their God-given role to provide leadership and mirror God’s character and management in the home. A man cannot live out God’s definition of manhood without applying all of the content of His Word. The reason we are not able to find men manning their post today is the same reason God walked through the Garden of Eden so long ago calling out, “Adam, where are you?” Let us pray for the men of CCSH today that they not be missing FROM the action. The position of being a Father comes with enormous responsibility and calls for courage to live it as God intended! Dad’s today take stock of what God has called you to be and live it in obedience to He who gave you that role.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Let us pray for the house Church in Fiji that God will bring an increase of souls. Please keep Pastor Charles and his family before God this week in your prayer time at home.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Matthew 6:21 – For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. In giving, the real issue isn’t giving money. It is giving ourselves to the Lord. If we really give ourselves to the Lord, then the right kind of material giving will naturally follow.
