Daily devotion – early to meet Him
Luke 21: 37 And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. 38 Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.
The cares of this world are waiting for us every morning to capture our energy, our time and our thoughts. But when I open God’s Word, the Holy Spirit reminds me each time of what the real focus of my life should be – my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I am constantly reminded of the frailness of life and the short period of time we have to live out God’s plan for our lives.
Every single Christian at some time, whether it be physical pain, emotional trauma or some other struggle, is reminded each time we open God’s Word – that He is with us and we will make it through this storm.
But it is so important that we each spend consistent time with Jesus.
Jesus gave us His personal example to follow as He woke early each day to hear from His Heavenly Father. Early in the morning, early in our storm, early before we act or make a decision, let us be reminded of His love and care for us continually. That Heaven is where our mind is to be focused whilst the race we run is here on earth at this moment.
By the way – no matter how early you wake to spend time with the Him, your find He is always waiting there for you!
