Sun 6:00 pm – The Book of Acts Chapt. 10– Ps Marlon teaching
Wednesday 7:00 pm – Prayer Night & John’s Gospel Overview

Coming Events –– This morning we gather around the Lord’s Table and Remember Him! Parents, your child’s participation is reliant on them knowing Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Tonight, Pastor Marlon continues in Acts where he takes us to the beautiful location of Caesarea, in Acts 10, which is always our first stop on our tour to Israel. Pray about being part of our next pilgrimage to the Holy Land – Jan 2024. We would like to get some idea of the size of the group travelling. Wednesday nights, we continue in the most important ministry of prayer. In addition, we will be travelling in overview of John’s Gospel. So, to keep up with the Church studies, we encourage you to join us Wednesday or secondly ensure you watch our online study in John’s Gospel. Otherwise, you will only have piece meal chunks of John which is not helpful in context or understanding. Join our servant team here at CCSH by filling in one of our Connection Cards. Remember we are saved to serve! Parents, remember your children love to give in their Sunday school class and all the finances goes to CC Nasinu in Fiji. You will notice our new patio blinds have been fitted. Please only those men who have been instructed on the ‘mechanics’ of the new blinds are able to raise or lock away so damage will not occur to the locking system. Please see our Building Director and Elder Reece De Jonge for the required information.
From the Pastor’s Desk – CCSH will always be teaching expository through the Bible. This is in obedience to the Bibles command to do so – 2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. When people contact me about CCSH and what it stands for I always explain, “If you don’t like the Bible or Bible study, then CCSH is not the Church for you.” People may come and go, fashions may change, but you can be guaranteed that every time you attend CCSH, the Bible will be opened, and expository teaching will take place. Whilst many congregations are caught in a frantic quest for significance in worship. Churches produce surveys to measure expectations for the worship service asking such things as, “Would you like more music? What kind? How about drama? Is our preacher sufficiently creative in the service.” Whereas expository preaching …demands a very different set of questions. “Will I obey the word of God? How must I ‘change’ my behaviour to be fully obedient to the word? These questions reveal an entirely different priority. They indicate that submission to the authority of God’s word is paramount. On that last day, it will not be before people that you will stand. Instead, you will give account to Jesus Christ Himself.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji – Continue to pray for the leadership program Ps Charles is giving at the local school and for the Church Plant near Suva international airport soon.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Matthew 6:21 – For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

“We spend most of our time rendering people fit to go back to their sin. I want to heal souls. If a man has a diseased body and his soul is all right. He is all right to the end; but a man with a healthy body and a distressed soul is all right for sixty years or so and then he has to face eternity in Hell.” – Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones
