Sign-up sheet will commence after Christmas. We will be announcing the date and time of our Church Spring Clean morning and Breakfast next Sunday. Operation Christmas Child – If there are any more boxes to be brought in, they can still be collected until the end of October – please bring them in as soon as possible – thank you. 62 days til Christmas!
From the Pastor’s Desk – There are times this week that I have been overwhelmed by the chaos, the immorality, and depravity of the news of the world that I have had to go to God’s Word to wash my mind and calm my heart. It seems that daily statements, decisions, events are highlighting to me the absoluteness of our being in the Last Days as declared in the Bible. Each Sunday or Wednesday as I preach, I wonder if it’s the last time we will be together. But more so if it’s the last time someone is listening personally too God’s Word before leaving this world for the next. I struggle with a world and people, many in Churches, who have no assurance of their right standing with God. Where material things, unimportant things, constantly fill their thoughts and lives to distraction. Jesus says in Matthew 13, that these things, “the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word and he or she becomes unfruitful? This morning would you consider your life as one being fruitful in the things of God. Look out the window, watch or listen to the news, things are changing like never before. You need to make choices, decisions need to be made, to enter the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it – Matthew 7:13. Today is the day of salvation!
Helen’s Heart For whom the Lord loves He chastens…that we may be partakers of His holiness – Heb 12:6 Our job as parents is to supply food, clothing, education, and protection by setting boundaries. Ephesians 6:4 specifies to teach by training and admonition. This in turn steers our children’s minds toward respect and obedience to God. Our aim is to enable them to produce fruits of righteousness that they can become all God has intended for them. Embrace your role of parenting – a rewarding calling!
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Please keep our brothers and sisters serving in Fiji in your prayers.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Exo 36:3 And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. Exo 36:5
and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do.”
