Welcome – This morning we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together! If you wish to serve here at CCSH you can fill out a Connection Card located at the information booth. If you are visiting for the first time we invite you to a free coffee after the service by utilising our free coffee card also available at the information booth. If you don’t know Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you would like to know more, we invite you to speak to one of the pastors or elders who will be at the front of the sanctuary directly after this morning’s message. We would love to pray with you and give you a bible.
Prayer Points for this week – Please remember to pray for all the little ones and youth who will be returning to school this coming Monday. For their protection and blessing. The children and youth programs commence this Friday and we ask that you would pray for the leaders and many young ones who will be attending these outreaches over the coming year. Wednesday evening is prayer night for the church commencing at 7:00 pm following a new marriage series that kicked off last week. This week it’s “What God says to Husbands and Wives”. Please join us as we pray before the service this morning in classroom #1.
From the Pastor’s Desk – The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. Rom 8:16. People often ask the question, “How can I be so certain about who and what God really is?” An old preacher answered that question so simply yet beautiful. He told a story of a young boy who was out flying his home made kite on a grey cloudy day. It was perfect for kite flying; the wind just right and clouds rolling low through the sky. His kite went up so high that it was hidden among the clouds. A man out walking his dog came across the boy and asked him, “What are you doing?” The boy replied not turning his head, “I am flying my kite!” The man responded, “Flying a kite, you can’t even see it nor can I!” “No,” said the boy, “I can’t see it that’s true, but every little while I feel a tug, so I know that my kite is there for sure.” We should never take anyone else’s word for God. Find Him yourself by asking Jesus Christ into your life. Then you too will know by the wonderful warm tug on your heartstring that He is there for sure!
