Coming Events ––Christmas is fast approaching. We will be having our usual Christmas Eve service and Sunday Christmas Day a short service starting at 9:00am just for that Sunday. Be praying and inviting family and friends to join with you to celebrate Christ’s birth together. A little damage to our Church roof from Friday’s storm but thanks again to Ian and Reece for sorting it out for us – repairs to follow. The importance and blessing of serving here at CCSH demonstrates how you too can be a blessing to the Body of Christ here at CCSH. We encourage you to fill in our Connection Card and make yourself available to serve. There is a lot of work that needs to happen for CCSH to operate smoothly and safely. Pray and serve and be blessed today! Calvary Ladies – at the information booth is the sign-up sheet for this years “End of Year Celebration” WHEN – on Friday 9th December, 7:30 – 9:00pm WHERE – here at the chapel. What – A great time of study of the Word, Christmas gift exchange – bring a gift of $10-15 value to be exchanged. 35 days til Christmas! From the Pastor’s Desk – Helen and I had the blessing the other week to hear opera singer Andrea Bocelli perform. He has a beautiful voice that is a gift from God. As we listened to him perform, I pictured in my mind the singing and worship we all will be part of in Heaven as Revelation 5 details so wonderfully. But in addition, I realized we each will have new bodies, heavenly bodies and with that we will have heavenly voices too! As Bocelli reached the highest and most beautiful notes, I imagined just how amazing the singing will be in Heaven! We will need our new heavenly bodies to be able to cope with the beauty, the power, the sheer magnitude of our worshipping in Heaven together at the throne of God – face to face with Him. In the meantime, we are to practice here and now. To prepare for the future glorious opportunities we each will have to sing and give praise to He who is worthy. Soon we will all gather before Him, after the Church has been raptured, in the largest and greatest choir ever gathered and we will sing And they sang a new song, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, To receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing! Revelation 5:9-12

Helen’s Heart They comforted me in the day of my calamity – Psalm 18:18 it seems when you are down the enemy wants to keep you down. Have you ever had one of those weeks (or months) where you just want to hide yourself in a cave out of harm’s way? You pray and things do not improve – it may be an illness, a friction with a member of your family or a financial situation. We can feel abandoned, yet the opposite is true. When we are at our lowest point, we are more so the object of God’s concern. Call on Me in the day of trouble and I will answer you…
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji We spoke to Pastor Charles this week and he asked us to pray for them as they prepare their constitution to be ratified in Fiji.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Deu 14:22“You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.Deu 14:23 Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.

“Where there is grace there will be conflict. The believer is a soldier. There is no holiness without a warfare. Saved souls will always be found to have fought a fight.” ~ JCRyle
