Christmas Eve Service – Monday the 24th December, 6:00pm. Pray and invite family and friends to join with you at CCSH’s special Christmas Eve service. It’s a beautiful way to commence the Christmas break as we gather to give thanks and celebrate the precious birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem.
Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Be sure not to get caught up with the business of the festive season and have no room for Jesus. Luke tells us She brought forth her firstborn Son..and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn – Luke 2:7. No room for Jesus? No room for the King of kings? No, but plenty of room for others and for other things. Our world has no room for Jesus, do you? Imagine, no room from the world that was made by Him, the Creator of all things! Things have not changed much since that time in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. God is still kept in the fringes of many people’s lives. They fit Him in only when convenient but then became upset when He makes demands on us. If God would only stay in His little box and come out when we wind the handle. Our lives are so full. There is so much to be done – at least so we think. But in all our busy activities are we in danger of shutting out God from our lives, the One who made us? Do you have room for Jesus this Christmas?
