Daily devotion – The inerrancy of the Word of God
2 Timothy 3: 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
There is a line in the sand being drawn today in churches throughout Australia. That line is where they each fall in the viewing of the Bible being the inerrant Word of God or not!
One can attend a church service these days where the Bible is not opened, the Bible is not quoted or where the Bible is diluted.
Some pulpits are teaching that the Genesis record is not literal in its description of God being the Creator of all things. Others are being selective in their view of which parts of the Bible they accept and which parts they reject.
Anyone doing such is denying what God has said Himself about the Word of God being His Word as Paul wrote to Timothy. This means such teachers also are denying every time the Bible says, “This says the Lord…”
Such false teachers are making themselves ‘the authority’ instead of the Bible being the authority.
As believers today we need to be ever diligent to the many voices of those who claim to speak for God but in fact speak from their own self-promoting egos!
Act 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
The problem of the promotion of these false teachers that have come as foretold by Jesus, Paul and Jude, is that the people in the pews no longer come to Church with Bible in hand!
You cannot check the truth if you don’t have the foundation of truth in your hand to lay against the lies of the enemy.
Be a Bible carrying, Bible believing follower of Christ, because many will be deceived in these Last Days.
Jude 1:4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
