Daily devotion – beyond and above the clouds
Exo 16:10 Now it came to pass, as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
Today we had clouds constantly over us as we edge closer and closer to winter. Without the clouds we would have no magnificent sunsets, no rain for our farmers or clothing for our beautiful landscapes that dot this amazing country.
The same goes for our walk with God. We have clouds over periods of our lives, at times bringing a dark covering over them when we walk through valleys hidden from the sun. But we know that behind and above the clouds however, God is still present as too the sun permanently blazing!
There are times when our souls need a fresh fall of pure water from heaven and God can shower us with unexpectant blessings.
As the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness after leaving the slavery of Egypt, God declared to them, “Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud” – Exodus 19:9
All of us at some time will experience clouds over our lives – like the many clouds, some will bring times of aboding maybe even frightening. But whatever clouds you may face today or this week, look to your Saviour Jesus Christ, for He is the Light of the world.
Seek His help at those difficult times so that you may see beyond the clouds, into the heavens, and see His glory still shining over you and His plans for your life unstoppable!
