Daily devotion – The Tribulation!
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Wednesday night, which will be last night when you will have received this devotion, I will have covered what’s called the Tribulation, Daniels’ 70th week in the Bible. Mainly looking at the overview of the Book of Revelation and the Tribulation period.
Over 1/3 of the Bible is given to prophecy and we find ourselves living now in the Last Days prior to the Rapture of the Church spoken of by Paul in 1 Thess 4 and 1 Cor 15, and then the period known as the Tribulation which is defined clearly in Daniel, Thessalonians and Revelation just to name a few.
Why is the message of these events so important for us today? Because we are the ones who will experience these events – either the Rapture or the Tribulation.
I encourage you to study the message of the end times, the coming of Christ for His Church and the events known as the Tribulation followed by Christ’s Second Coming.
I am reminded of Noah’s time back when he was building the ark prior to the flood. Noah faithfully preached the salvation of God and also the coming world judgment to a world too busy for God for 120 years. No one took notice! No one cared! And only 8 souls were saved from the flood that covered the world. It is God’s will that all come to know Him and be saved as Peter tells us. Paul reminds us of something important that needs to happen now for this to be realized.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
Its why we are still here!
