Daily devotion – Living by facts through faith!
We open our papers, and we watch on our televisions a world filled with violence, hatred and rage. This was not the work of God, who in the beginning created a world of peace.
Seven times the Lord viewed His creation and said that “It was good!”
But we know what happened, Eve was deceived, and Adam disobeyed, and the rest is ‘our’ history. Satan celebrate his new ownership of a fallen world and darkness and sin began to fill man’s hearts and minds. Cain would kill his bother Abel in jealous rage.
It broke God’s heart but none of this caught Him by surprise. Man’s redemption had already been planned – Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
So, throughout history, there has been conflict between Satan and God, Satan’s children and God’s Children.
At the Cross of Calvary, Satan ‘bruised’ Christ’s heel, but because of His death and Resurrection, Christ crushed Satan’s head and won a complete victory over Satan.
When you look at the world currently, fear and trepidation can arise. This is why we must not view the world without first reading God’s Word. Once you have read God’s Word and know the outcome of all things, what we see then is blurred by the fact of what we know is true!
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
We do not live by what we see, but we live by what we know! By Who we know!
If the events that are happening around the world are giving you concern, take the medicine of the Word of God and it will clear away all fear and anxiousness.
This is how a Christian lives now in a fallen world – with victory and hope in our hearts for we do know the outcome of all things! And its Heaven!
