This Week at Calvary – Today we gather as Christ’s Church for a special celebration of Thanksgiving unto our Lord. A time where we acknowledge all the blessings that God continues to shed upon us as His redeemed. During the service, there will be an opportunity for us all to come forward and place on the platform before our Lord the things we have written down to thank Him for. There are also blank cards provided in each row with pens for those who have not been able to write down their thanksgiving items, to enable you to note them down today. That way you won’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity. Another way to display your thanks to the Lord for your salvation is to join with us again tonight at 6:00pm, for our evening service. Calvary Ladies, sign up for the end of year ladies gathering, Friday, 1st December 7:00 – 9:00pm. Don’t miss out on bringing encouragement to the other godly ladies at this unique time of blessing! Sign-up sheet in foyer – please bring a gift up to the value of $15 to enable each one to receive an additional Christmas blessing. In addition, this morning we will be having a wonderful baby dedication.

The Praying Church CCSH can achieve nothing without prayer! Join with us therefore on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM. Be a prayer soldier with the Body of Christ here at CCSH, in the most powerful way you can! 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing

From the Pastors Desk
It is amazing how our hearts can grow cold over time. The war in Ukraine now has disappeared out of the main news stories, yet the war and horror continues. The news on the war in Israel has now dropped down in world news ratings too, yet it’s only day 44 in the conflict. Sadly, it also happens in our relationship with God. Especially at this the Christmas Season. Work, school, wind-ups, Christmas preparations themselves, steal our hearts away from the story of Christmas itself. Is it not ironic that the Christmas rush robs us of the spirit of Christmas? Jesus in the first of His 7 letters to 7 Churches in the Book of Revelation, admonished the Church of Ephesus because they had ‘left’ their first love – Christ Himself – and replaced Him with Church activity. Rev 2: 4 “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! 5 Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. Time to stop and be in His presence alone once again!

Quote “You stand before God as if you were Christ, because Christ stood before God, as if He were you.” – C.H.Spurgeon

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Located on the eastern side of the sanctuary is a container for your grace giving – or you may wish to give electronically via the CCSH account – 2490144 – BSB – 306089
Please note – Bankwest – Our Church bank is closing all Church accounts shortly– so we will be moving to the Commonwealth Bank which will mean a new Account Number for all offerings – once we have arranged this change we will publish the new account numbers – thank you and bless you.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Ps Charles is in the Philippines for a conference, also trying to get 2 of his young people to attend a Bible College there.
They have received some funds towards land and church building. Please pray for an upcoming camp on the 14th of December, also pray for a 1-week outreach in the island in December 26th/30th.

35 days til Christmas eve..

Helen’ HeartI would have you without carefulness. Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God – Phil 4:6 Worry and fear can grip us and cause us to panic. We fear the future, our over whelming problems, declining health, financial ruin. We should fear God the most as this is the beginning of wisdom and the answer for any fear or concern, we have. Remember neither death nor life – neither the present of the future – nor anything else – will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord – Rom 8:39. See you ladies on Dec 1 for our special end of year gathering.
