Daily devotion – Things do not just happen.

Pastor Keith   -

History is not random – it follows a divine plan.

Things just don’t happen – Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

God knows the times and the season.

He knows when to bless Israel and when not to bless her. Everything is under His hand.

In the fullness of time, Christ came into our world that first Christmas – Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

It was when the Romans had built wonderful roads to connect the world.
It was when the Greek language had flowed throughout the world so men could communicate with greater understanding.

After all this, God sent forth His Son to Bethlehem. God had planned it all!

There is a divine purpose in history, and what is happening in our world now is NOT accidental. At the moment the Church is at the centre of God’s plan, but soon it will be removed – 1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Then Israel will resume its central role once more, and it will be the centre of the world’s gaze. The 70th week of Daniel will click into gear and the world will experience events that have never occurred since the dawn of time.

How wonderful that we know the seasons as well and that God has made us children of light. Therefore we can comfort one another in times when others will be filled with great fear!
