Daily devotion – look at Me….

Pastor Keith   -

When you look for Jesus, you will not find Him on the Cross, nor will you find Him in the tomb – the Cross is barren, the tomb is empty. But an empty heart seeking the Lord can be filled with the forgiveness of the bloodstained Cross and the glory of the empty tomb.

For the Bible tells us that Christ will live and abide within those who believe and obey Him by keeping His commandments.

We live and die, and in between we are all given the same choice – what will we do with Jesus – the Resurrected Christ?

As a Christian, I talk to Him every morning when I wake up. He walks with me, and even as I sit at my desk and write this devotion, His presence is overwhelmingly known.

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” – Romans 1:16

Today, are you looking for the Christ? He is near you today.

If you look at the Cross, you will see the evidence – His blood shed for you – He is NOT there.

If you look at His tomb, you will see the evidence – it is empty because He lives!

The Bible says, “Look to Me, and be saved…For I am God, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:22

These are the very words an old preacher spoke to a young man by the name of Charles Haddon Spurgeon as he sat in a little Church service.

That young man looked to Jesus and became one of the greatest preachers ever.

Will you look to Jesus today – for He is knocking at the door of your heart.

The next time the question is asked – “Where is Jesus”” – I hope and pray you can say with me,  “He lives in my heart!”
