Pastor’s Desk
Do you remember the story of Jesus getting lost by Joseph and Mary and how they searched for Him and could not find Him? Eventually they tracked Him down and Jesus said to them – “But why did you need to search?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house? This week have you lost Jesus somewhere amongst all your business and day to day schedule? What would it be like to have Jesus with you physically at your school or work or daily duties so that He could be seen? Would your day change much or the way you spoke and acted. Would you be embarrassed to have Him with you at times? Would you change anything that you normally would do? The fact is Jesus is with us at all times – but He simply can’t be seen with the human eye. Although He can be seen in how you live for Him. Our relationship with Christ is not just a Sunday catch up, it is a 24hour day communion. I pray this week for you to know where Jesus is all the time as you go about your normal day – and that He would enjoy being with you in whatever you do.

We learn quickly in our Christian walk that we’re in Spiritual warfare. Things can and do go wrong – we can wake late, can’t find the matching sox or school shoes and “we’ve spilt the milk.” We become overwhelmed by the constant onslaught of challenges that may lead us to put our hands up and quit. God gives us armour – we can run to Him – pray and seek fellowship, allow trusted sisters to pray with us and encourage us. Proverbs 27:9 says…and the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by healthy counsel.
