“The resurrection is a fact better attested than any event recorded in any history, whether ancient or modern.”
— Charles H. Spurgeon

This week at Calvary It’s just 19 days before our first Easter Service, Wednesday night 7:00pm, in our own Olive Garden. We are planning something a little different for this service. Pray you and your family can join us that evening under the stars and the new moon. Please be in prayer for family and friends you are hoping will join with you for our Easter services. You have the opportunity to serve at our Easter Services, please see Pastors as to how you can be part of our Easter servant team here at Calvary! We want to encourage you out to our Wednesday evening prayer time – to pray for your unsaved loved one’s to join with you for our Easter Services or to watch online if they are living overseas. Let us do our bit in interceding for them, for you know that God has been and will continue working on their hearts to draw them to Him! We will be celebrating communion Easter Sunday and again the following Sunday as it will be the beginning of April. Our Jewish guide in Israel, Yaniv, has contacted us and is planning to visit with us with his son this year. It will be a great blessing to have them with us and hear the latest in Israel. Our board is working through the latest plans from the two companies we have contacted for our new extension and your prayers over these are appreciated.

From the Pastors Desk Easter is in the air! Even though we have an extended summer heat, you can sense that change is coming! It’s darker in the morning now as the sun takes a little longer to rise. You can feel that Easter is close. Change is the story of Easter. Jesus came to save us from our sins, He came to suffer and die in our place, and He was going to change death and the grave’s hold and power forever! Many people living without Christ do not experience change like a believer does. Life for those outside of Christ rolls on and on until death brings its completion here on earth. But for the believer, change occurs the day we receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour. I am saved! I am free from the power of sin and the rule of Satan. God changes me into a new person. I discovered that I have a God-planned purpose for my life, and death no longer holds any fear for me. Easter changed all that! This morning, if your life is one continual repeat, the same day after the other, and old habits dominate you, guilt troubles you, and you fear death, we invite you to receive the offer of change for your life from Easter – through Jesus Christ! Jesus said, Jhn 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Helen’s Heart We desire to make a difference – the world would swallow us up into obscurity. Sometimes we have to look long and hard to find someone with the courage to stand alone for God. We have been caught up in the language and practice of tolerance and compromise. Ezekiel’s word from the Lord, in a time where the people of the Lord lived corruptly, was I searched for a man among them who would …stand in the gap. Ezek 22:30. Will you make a difference, will you be courageous and make a stand today?

The lates news from Israel from our guide Yaniv yesterday: “It is very hard to know what will happen in the west bank after this war. At this point we are looking forward for a solution and full replacement of Hamas in Gaza and our eyes are towards the north with Hezbollah. The west bank and Jerusalem are quiet at this point – I can’t see major changes at this point.” Shalom!
