Daily devotion – the wonder of our salvation…

Celebrate Your Salvation
1 Timothy 1:15-17
15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Today is a day to celebrate your salvation. Every day is a day we should give thanks and glorify the God of our salvation for the wonderful gift of grace He has given us through His Son Jesus Christ.

Saul, before he became Paul, was the arch-enemy of the Church of Jesus Christ. He wreaked savagery on many followers of Christ at that time, having them beaten, arrested, and some even put to death because of their faith in Christ. But Saul met Jesus personally on the road to Damascus, and Christ changed not only Saul’s name to Paul but also brought salvation and forgiveness to Paul that turned this once great antagonist into an Apostle!

I pray that you never lose sight of the wonder of your salvation, what it cost, and what it means. For none of us deserved God’s forgiveness or grace. We all deserved judgment.

When you wake in the morning, I urge you to pause for a moment and thank God for His love and kindness. When next you are able to gather with the Church of Jesus Christ, bring with you the joy of your salvation that Paul explodes into in his letter to young Timothy.

Remember, those who love the Lord much are those who have been forgiven much!

Enjoy the wonder of your salvation today and each and every day, for it is the greatest treasure and gift you can ever receive!
