Daily devotion – There is no neutrality in the Kingdom of God
Neutrality or being neutral is both an interesting word and action to follow.
It means “not taking any side in a war or dispute, not displaying any emotions or opinions.”
During World War I and World War II, the nation of Switzerland maintained armed neutrality, and was not invaded by its neighbors, in part because of its topography, much of which is mountainous. Germany was a threat, and Switzerland built a powerful defense. It served as a “protecting power” for the belligerents of both sides, with a special role in helping prisoners of war. The belligerent states made it the scene for diplomacy, espionage, and commerce, as well as being a safe haven for 300,000 refugees.
However, in the kingdom of God there is no place for being neutral! Jesus said, Matthew 12:30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.
The Bible tells us that at the end of life we all will stand before God in judgment – Heb 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,
During our life here in this world we all will face a most important decision, to receive the gift of grace and forgiveness from Jesus Christ Lord and Saviour or to choose to reject His offer.
There is no neutral position. Each and every one will be divided into two groups, those who have repented of their sin and believed on Jesus’ sacrifice and to be set free from their guilt. Or to choose to not accept Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross and choose to live our lives without recognition or worship of God.
All of life and our eternal destiny is made as simple as this one decision.
No one is neutral Jesus said, for if you are not for Him you are against Him.
A life without God here on earth means an eternity without Him also.
Let us pray for our loved ones and friends who at this moment are choosing to be against God. May their hearts soften and may they receive the gift of forgiveness and eternal life that God has made available now.
