Daily devotion – connected by the Holy Spirit
Romans 12:15, “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep,” serves as a powerful reminder of the deep connection we share as members of the body of Christ. Within our congregation at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour, every week brings a spectrum of experiences—joyful victories in Christ, devastating news, and ongoing trials. As a Church body, our shared knowledge and sensitivity allow us to genuinely participate in each other’s lives, celebrating the good times and offering comfort during the tough ones.
The beauty of the Church is that it’s not just a gathering of individuals, but a living, breathing fellowship of believers. Each of us is on a unique journey that God has set before us, and our fellowship with one another is vital in navigating these paths. God has placed us together at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour, creating bonds that are more than just friendships—they are spiritual connections that guide our hearts toward empathy and support for one another.
When God places someone from our Church family on your heart, or you feel an urge to pray, it’s often the Holy Spirit inviting you to share in their joy or to carry their burden alongside them. The Church is a unique and living organism where believers no longer live solely for themselves, but are spiritually connected to one another in Christ. This supernatural bond, orchestrated by the Holy Spirit, allows us to be a source of comfort and encouragement to those God has placed in our lives.
As you continue with your daily devotions, reading of God’s Word, and spending time in His presence, may you be open to how God might use you as a blessing to others. Whether through a prayer whispered in private, a kind word, or a silent act of support, you are a vital part of the work God is doing in our Church.
This is the wonder of Christ’s Church—it’s a place where we live to bring Him glory in all that we do. And how incredible it is that, in His divine plan, He allows us to be a quiet, yet powerful, force of blessing and strength for our brothers and sisters in need.
Let’s continue to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, ready to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep, knowing that in doing so, we reflect the love and compassion of Christ Himself.
