This week at Calvary It’s a great blessing to have you gather with us todays as we worship our Risen Saviour Jesus Christ and study the Word of God together! Ladies, there is a beautiful ministry that some of you may be led to be a part of here at CCSH. It is overseen by Hanna Le Chat and it’s a team of servants who prepare and provide meals to people in here at CCSH who have fallen ill, had a situation that makes it difficult for them to prepare food for their family and home. Hannah is advised of the situation and at the Lord’s leading discerns as to whether this is a crisis and arranges the cooking ladies and the food drop off accordingly. If you would like to be part of this beautiful agape service, see Hannah after the service today for more information. Calvary Women, the sign-up sheet is now available at our information desk for this year’s amazing Christmas gathering of the godly women of CCSH – Saturday 9th December 9:30am – You will not want to miss out on this blessed occasion! If you missed out on Saturday nights – Calvary Young Adults study and fellowship, please see Pastor Marlon for details of the next gathering time and date. If you would like to be a serious teacher of God’s Word, the place to begin is teaching Sunday school. This is the greatest ‘seminary’ opportunity that you could enter for God to train you and guide you to be a teacher of His precious Word.

This week the Myers store in Melbourne made the decision to not proceed with its usual Christmas window display that it has been renowned for over many years. The reason is that Pro – Palestinian protesters threatened violence at its location if it promoted Christmas as usual. Secondly, our Foreign Affairs minister, Penny Wong this week voted for the recognition of the Palestinian state on behalf of the Australian government at the U.N. No mention from her about the Israeli hostages still held captive! I mention these things for us to pray and seek God to intercede on both of these godless actions that are threatening our nation. I urge you to gather with your Church family, your own family and in your personal prayer times to pray for our nation Australia. Prayer changes things! We cannot be idle in these matters. We can all pray! We can call upon the God of Israel, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of the Great South Land, just as Daniel prayed for God’s people whilst in Babylon, and ask for His power to fall on this nation Australia. Daniel 9: 3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes.4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed:
“O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands. 5 But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. May God have mercy on us in these times!
